Center Overview Women's Clinical Research Center is dedicated to the highest quality medical research for and by women. Our facility operates in conjugation with North Seattle Women's Group and Menopause Center of Seattle. We serve a broad population of women throughout the Pacific Northwest and are conveniently located one mile from the University of Washington Research Experience We have conducted over 200 phase II, III, and IV studies in many areas of women's health and general medicine over the past fifteen years. We work with most major pharmaceutical companies and CROs. We regularly receive testimonials from sponsors and monitors alike for our high quality work and for meeting and exceeding enrollment goals. Our emphasis is on Good Clinical Practice, with our subjects' health and well being our principal obligation. We have low screen fail rates and excellent retention as a result of careful subject selection. Our Director and Principal Investigator, Dr. Robin Kroll, is regularly on-site and personally supervises all aspects of every study. Either she or one of her Sub-Investigators is available at any time. We utilize central IRBs at the sponsors' request, and we are not under the jurisdiction of a local IRB.
Our Facility We have a 4400 square foot facility conveniently located approximately one mile from the University of Washington. We have adequate parking and excellent proximity to public transportation. Our facility is in a medical office center and has recently been redecorated. We offer a complete range of gynecologic procedures on-site including: Ultrasound Bone densitometry Colposcopy Endometrial biopsy Loop electroexcisional procedure We maintain a venipuncture facility on site with staff trained in hazardous material shipping. We have the capability to store and ship frozen specimens. Our monitors enjoy ample space in well-appointed offices with convenience of in-room copiers and internet connections. We have hotels and restaurants in walking distance to decrease travel time. We are a 25-35 minute drive north of Sea-Tac International Airport, which has direct flights to most major metropolitan areas.
Principal Investigator Robin Kroll, MD is Director of Women's Clinical Research Center and the Menopause Center of Seattle. She is also a founding partner of North Seattle Women's Group, P.S. She received her medical degree from Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed her internship and residency at the same institution. She is board certified and re-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has been certified as a bone densitometrist by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry and as a Menopause Clinician by the North American Menopause Society. Dr. Kroll has been a principal investigator in many studies that have led to the introduction of new options or treatments for a variety of women's healthcare issues. In addition to her research activities Dr. Kroll maintains clinical practices at both North Seattle Women's Group and the Menopause Center of Seattle where she treats women with a variety of gynecologic disorders. She is a member of numerous professional societies including the North American Menopause Society. She has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Kroll serves on a National PMS Advisory Board. She has been selected by her peers to be included in Best Doctors™. Dr. Kroll lectures frequently throughout the country on topics such as perimenopause, menopause, PMS and state of the art developments in contraception and hormone replacement.
